Transit Insurance & Coverage
Every move with Sindoor Shifting includes comprehensive transit insurance as standard. This covers your belongings against damage, loss, or theft during the relocation process, from pickup in your source city (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, or any Pan-India location) to final delivery. Our insurance partner operates under Indian regulations and is certified for moving-company coverage.

Coverage Limits & Claims Process

For household moves averaging ₹2,50,000 to ₹8,00,000 in declared value, coverage is comprehensive unless items were specifically excluded in writing.

- Disclosing any high-value items, antiques, or items requiring special handling upfront
- Ensuring access to pickup and delivery addresses during agreed timings
- Clearing outstanding dues or additional charges within 10 days of final delivery

Additional Charges

- Waiting Time: If crews wait beyond 2 hours at pickup or delivery, ₹300 per hour applies
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Cancellations made 30 days or more before your scheduled moving date incur no penalty. Cancellations within 30–15 days attract a 25% cancellation fee of the total quote. Cancellations within 14 days or less are non-refundable, though you may reschedule your move within 90 days without additional charges. Service Limitations & Exclusions
Sindoor Shifting, IBA Code MUO-2547, does not provide services for:
- Illegal items, ammunition, hazardous materials, or substances banned under Indian law

- Plants and live animals (except for special arrangement with advance notice)
- Currency, jewelry, or documents of extreme sentimental value without a separate insurance rider
- Items that have not been declared in the inventory or packing list

Limitation of Liability
Sindoor Shifting's maximum liability for any claim is capped at the insured value of your declared inventory as shown on your quote or ₹50 lakhs, whichever is lower. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or emotional damages, loss of business opportunity, or claims arising from non-disclosure of inventory details or misuse of services.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India and the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The jurisdiction for all disputes lies exclusively with the courts in Delhi NCR, where Sindoor Shifting maintains its registered office. Any dispute arising out of this disclaimer or our services shall first be escalated to our customer service team; if unresolved within 30 days, either party may initiate arbitration or legal proceedings in Delhi courts.

Sindoor reserves the right to decline moves involving hazardous materials, unlawful items, or undisclosed high-value goods exceeding ₹1 lakh without proper insurance. Cancellations by Sindoor due to our fault incur zero charges; cancellations by you within 48 hours of booking receive a 90% refund. After 48 hours, a 20% cancellation fee applies. Force majeure events (severe weather, lockdowns) may pause moves without penalty.
